Rolls Royce Cullinan, the first modern SUV from the British luxury carmaker has received a lot of appreciation around the world. Abhini Sohan Roy from Dubai, UAE became the first Indian woman to own the latest model from the brand and she received the delivery of the car on 28th December 2018. In a video, she can be seen taking the Rolls Royce Cullinan around for a spin.
Abhini Sohan Roy received the Rolls Royce Cullinan as a gift from her husband – Sohan Roy on the occasion of their 25th anniversary. They booked the all-new car way back in June 2018. The car received by the couple has been customised thoroughly. While all the customisation details are not available, we can make out from the video that the Cullinan has received a blue interior. The blue colour can be seen all around the Cullinan including highlights on the seats and the colour of door pads.
There are also individual screens for the rear passengers. Other customisation options are now known. Rolls Royce offers thousands of choices and customisation options to the customers. In fact, the customer can even choose the colour of the thread used to stitch the leather seats of the car. The body of the Cullinan is also finished in a brilliant Arabian Blue colour, which interestingly is also the colour of the Rolls Royce Ghost owned by Sohan Roy.
While most of the Rolls Royce cars are chauffeur driven around the world, it sure is an absolute pleasure to be on the driver’s seat. The all-new Rolls Royce Cullinan is the first SUV from the brand and is also the first SUV to get 4-wheel drive system. Even though it is quite big, Rolls Royce Cullinan features 4 wheel steering system, which makes it easy to manoeuvre. The rear wheels of the Cullinan move in the opposite direction of the front wheels at slower speeds to ensure a smaller turning radius while it moves in the same direction as the front wheels at higher speeds providing greater stability. It also gets the Magic Ride feature that uses the air suspension system to dampen all the rough surfaces to give a super smooth driving experience.
The Rolls Royce Cullinan is powered by a massive 6.75-litre V12 petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 563 Bhp and a peak torque of 850 Nm. The Cullinan gets a range of luxury features including acoustically sealed cabin, a 360-degree camera with bird’s eye view mode, seat massager, multiple driving modes, heated armrests, self-levelling suspension, specially selected wood for the interiors, customised tyres and much more.
The Cullinan is quite capable off the road too. It gets an advanced 4X4 system that eliminates the need for differential locks. The vehicle rises by 40mm when the off-roading mode is engaged and the total travel of the suspension becomes 120mm. The Cullinan gets a water wading capability of 570mm.
